If you have already wind, geothermal, biomass, cogeneration, thermal and hydroelectric power plants, you can now switch to the hybrid power plant model and set up your supportive power plant.
Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) determined the new methodology for power plant sites. The Procedures and Principles Regarding the Regulation of the Power Plant Sites of Production Facilities subject to Pre-License or Licenses in the Electricity Market, prepared by EPDK, were published in the Official Gazette and entered into force as of July 1, 2020. The regulation paves the way for hybrid power generation facilities that will produce electricity from more than one source. Accordingly, all power generation plants, except nuclear power plants, are given the opportunity to produce electricity based on a second source. Companies that generate electricity from other sources will be able to build their own solar power plants within the same power plant site.
